GREAT PEANUT TOUR!

Bobby Wrenn is trying to keep the Great Peanut Tour alive!  Please see the website for up-to-date details.  Maybe we can offer our support to keep this long standing tradition going.
 

Freewheelers Socks !
We  have Freewheeler cycling socks for sale at $7 pair.  A couple of folks are interested in the Freewheelers Tri top.  If we can sell 6 more pieces, we can place another order.  If you'd like an item of Freewheelers clothing and missed the last order - now is your chance to get that Christmas present (even if it's for yourself).  Email us with any questions.  See the Champion System website for all the items they offer.

Weekly Thursday night rides continue.  Meet at Antioch Church of the Brethren, 2996 Callaway Road, Rocky Mount at 6:00 p.m.  Rides will depart about 6:15.  Route and length determined by group(s) that show.  If weather is iffy call 540-493-7722 to check ride status. 


Henry County has a cycling club now too.

  • Sat & Sunday, Sept. 20 $ 21 - 4th Annual Ride in the Heartland, from historic Charlotte County Courthouse, Va.  Routes of 6 to 100 miles. 

  • Sept. 27 & 28 - Best of the Blue Ridge, Artie Levin Memorial Rides sponsored by the Blue Ridge Bicycle Club in conjunction with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  25/50/75/100 mile ride options.

  • Sept. 26-27 - Northern Neck River Ride, Kilmarnock, VA  Route lengths from 25 to 100 miles  A BikeWalk Virginia event

  • Sept. 27 - Oct. 4 - Fall Cycle North Carolina tour - from the Black Mountains to the beaches of Oak Island.

  • Sun., Oct. 5 - Poor Mountain Hill Climb, Roanoke.  One of the Va. Derailer Series Mt. Bike events

  • Oct. 17-19 - 18th Annual Fall Foliage Bike Festival, many route options and events.

  • Sat., Oct. 25 - Between the Waters Bike Tour, CBES, Wachapeague, Va.  25/40/60/100 miles routes
